Georgia starts Southeastern Conference action on Thursday at 7:02 p.m. on SEC Network and the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network when fifth-ranked Arkansas visits Foley Field for a three-game series.
After spending three of the previous four weekends on the road in the difficult SEC, Georgia (20-17, 4-11) is at last back at Foley Field.
The Bulldogs, who went 1-2 last weekend at No. 2 Florida, face their fourth consecutive top 10 SEC opponent in fifth-ranked Arkansas (30-7, 11-4 SEC).
Georgia shocked the Gators with a seven-run ninth to win the first game 13-11, while the Gators won game
two with a 2-1 walk-off after it was tied at one going into the final inning.
Georgia had now suffered five one-run defeats this season.This past Tuesday,
the Bulldogs defeated Clemson 5-4 on the road, with the Bulldogs throwing out the tying run at the plate to end the game.
This was Georgia's first one-run victory! RF Josh Stinson's throw to second baseman Mason LaPlante resulted in Fernando Gonzalez scoring to seal the victory.
