‘Stranger Things’ Animated Series Ordered at Netflix

Netflix ordered an animated "Stranger Things" series. Eric Robles and Flying Bark Productions devised the show, but little else is known.

Robles created "Random! Cartoons," "Fanboy & Chum Chum," and "Glitch Techs."

The Duffer brothers, Robles of Flying Bark, Shawn Levy, and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps executive produce "Stranger Things" through Upside Down Pictures.

In July 2022, the Duffers formed Upside Down Films and Netflix announced a live-action spinoff and stage production.

The Duffers have claimed the live-action spinoff will not feature Eleven or Steve Harrington, but details are few.

In March 2023, it was announced that the West End theatrical performance would be set in 1959 Hawkins.

The Duffers are adapting "Death Note" into a live-action TV series. Netflix made a live-action feature of the series in 2017.

They're also adapting Stephen King and Peter Straub's "The Talisman" with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Productions and Paramount Television.
