Season 7 of 'Outlander' has an official premiere date (or Two)

Sassenachs, brace yourselves! The wait is almost over! According to Starz, Season 7 of Outlander will premiere on June 16, 2023.

There is, however, a catch: only the first half of the season will air on June 16. Season 7 is divided into two parts, each with 16 episodes.

The first half will be released in June, with the second half following in 2024. Outlander's first season had 16 episodes, but subsequent seasons had between 8 and 13 episodes.

Knowing this, it's not surprising that there will only be eight episodes before the second half is released in 2024. This news comes months after it was revealed that season eight would be the series' final installment.

The book inspired a hit Starz series. The same-named series by Diana Gabaldon. Aside from the first-look images released by Starz for the upcoming season,

The next 16 episodes have a lot in store. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Maril Davis, the show's executive producer, stated,

Season 7 is even more action-packed than the previous seasons, which is difficult to believe. We're excited to see how things pick up in season 6 after such a cliffhanger!
