Richard Glossip’s attorney sending case to the Supreme Court

Richard Glossip's execution date on Thursday, his attorney Don Knight declared that the Supreme Court will be the next step.

Attorney General Gentner Drummond made the request and said that there was sufficient justification for it.

The case dates back to 1997, when Glossip and Justin Sneed were found guilty of the murder of Barry Van Treese, Glossip's superior and proprietor of the Best Budget Inn.

In exchange for his testimony, Sneed was given a life sentence. Glossip was sentenced to death.

The opinion claims that the AG accused Sneed of taking lithium and lying to the jury.

The court essentially said that even if it came out that Sneed had lied, it is  sufficient to change the execution date for Glossips .The Oklahoma Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty  at the court’s opinion.

Glossip's execution might also be stopped by Governor Stitt. His request to delay the execution date until 2024 was made last year it had not even been evaluated.
