Practice 4.18: Vilardi Skates, Speaks, Practice Notes, Korpisalo's LAK Playoff Debut, Tradin' Jabs

Practice for the playoffs, but go north of the border.

In Edmonton, the Kings took to the ice this afternoon in between Games 1 and 2 of their series against the Oilers.

Playoff practices are fascinating because you're essentially past the point where you can make significant adjustments.

At this point in the game, the majority of those adjustments are made via video.

Even though the extra time between Games 5 and 6, should the series continue, might turn out to be different, that is the exception, not the rule.

For the entire group, today's skate was largely optional. The majority of the Kings' higher-minute players did not skate today,

and only the bottom six players and those who did not participate in Game 1 were present on the ice.
