The 42-year-old presenter of Wild N' Out and The Masked Singer made an appearance on The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM on Monday and spoke openly about the effect parenthood has had on his love life.
"I'm not out there like that," Cannon said. "I'm really trying to concentrate on myself and my kids... Even trying to sort of exist in that environment is beyond the scope of my capacity.
During his conversation with Howard Stern and co-host Robin Quivers, the comic claimed to maintain a "healthy balance." My primary concentration is either on my kids or work, which sounds crazy, Cannon said.
He continued by saying that his nine-month celibacy journey, which he had previously said he had started after having his eighth kid, had really backfired since it had not prevented the expansion of his family. One therapist advised me to practice celibacy, but it didn't work, as I soon had more children, he laughed.
Monroe and Moroccan, twins aged 11 years old, are shared by the comedian and his ex-wife Mariah Carey, to whom he was wed from 2008 until 2016.
Together with Brittany Bell, he is the father of two boys, Golden Sagon, age 6, and Rise Messiah Cannon, age 6, as well as a daughter, Powerful Queen, age 2.
With Abby De La Rosa, Cannon has twins named Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir who are 21 months old, a daughter named Beautiful Zeppelin who is 4 months old, a boy named Legendary Love who is 8 months old, and a girl named Onyx Ice Cole who is 5 months old.
In addition, he shares fatherhood with Alyssa Scott of two kids: 3-month-old Halo Marie and son Zen, who passed away at the age of 5 months in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
