Nashville-based Down Home Media is for "everyday Americans"

The country music singer Tim McGraw, whose acting career has recently hit a new gear with roles in Yellowstone and the prequel 1883,

is creating his own media firm with the support of Skydance Media. Skydance Media is also a backer of the venture.

Nashville will serve as the location for the headquarters of the new business, which will be called as Down Home. McGraw, through his management company EM.Co

the social content studio Shareability will be involved in the company's efforts spanning the entertainment, media, and marketing sectors. Tim Staples, who also established Shareability

established Down Home and serves as its chief executive officer. Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of EM.Co, Brian Kaplan is an integral part of the company.

Together with Skydance, 'Yellowstone' star and country music superstar Tim McGraw is launching a media company for "everyday Americans" called Down Home, which will be based in Nashville.

Skydance Media invested and signed a novel first-look contract with the company. Skydance will collaborate with Down Home on film and TV productions and provide IP and other content.

Nashville-based TriScore Entertainment and The Laurel Group, a boutique merchant bank that advises the company, invested in the new company. Ellison joins Down Home's board.
