Landeskog won't return for Avalanche for Stanley Cup Playoffs

Due to knee surgery, the captain of Colorado has not played this season, but he is positive that he will play again.

The Colorado Avalanche have announced that Gabriel Landeskog will not be participating in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

After undergoing knee surgery in October, the forward and team captain for the Avalanche has not participated in any games this season.

At the time of the operation, it was anticipated that Landeskog would be out of action for a period of twelve weeks.

I still thought I'd be fine, ready to go after the summer of (2022)," Landeskog said Thursday. "It was a very quick summer (after winning the Stanley Cup)," the player said.

It didn't take me long to figure out that everything had deteriorated... I was under the impression that I would be able to participate in the second half of the season.

We have done all in our power to make it function, but unfortunately it hasn't been successful. Moving forward, we will keep investigating our available choices.
