Henry Winkler provides guidance as Kelly Clarkson reveals that her daughter River is teased for having dyslexia.

Henry Winkler's compassionate counsel to Kelly Clarkson's daughter caused an emotional outburst on her talk show this week.

The Kelly Clarkson Show featured the 77-year-old Barry actor on Tuesday, and the two discussed Winkler's accomplishments as an author, which include over 30 children's book titles.

The 40-year-old mother of two revealed, "I was driving my daughter to school yesterday, and she's dyslexic. "You also admitted to me that you had dyslexia.

The host of the talk show continued by saying that her 8-year-old daughter River Rose was "getting bullied at school for not being able to read like all the other kids."

Winkler noted that 1 in 5 children have a learning difference, while Clarkson acknowledged she "didn't know how common" the condition was.

He said, "She's part of the tribe!" before speaking directly to the second grader.

"River! Looking directly into the camera as Clarkson started to cry, he remarked, "How you learn has nothing to do with how clever you are.
