Kevin Durant and Chris Paul attack Russell Westbrook's critics. Game 4

The Los Angeles Clippers are in danger of losing the game. The team that placed them there will tell you that Russell Westbrook is in no way to blame for their placement.

The Clippers were defeated by the Phoenix Suns 112-100 in Game 4 on Saturday,

dropping the first-round series to 3-1 after Kawhi Leonard and Paul George suffered injuries.

With six rebounds and four assists, Westbrook finished the game with 37 points on 17 of 29 shooting.

Westbrook has played four games in this series and has averaged 26 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.3 assists while shooting 46% and 36.4% from 3-point range.

Those are some impressive stats for a player who joined the Clippers only after a disastrous stint with the Lakers,

during which his already high level of personal criticism reached an all-time high. Suns stars Kevin Durant and Chris Paul were two players who took issue with that criticism,

and they viewed Game 4 as a rejection of the long-standing myths surrounding their rival and ally.
