Iran claims its navy surfaced a US submarine entering the Gulf.

Irani claimed that the submarine was making every effort to pass completely undetected and in complete silence.

According to the most recent report of an alleged confrontation between Iranian and US forces in the Gulf,

Iran's navy forced a US submarine to the surface as it entered the Gulf, Iranian navy commander Shahram Irani told state television on Thursday.

The Iranian submarine Fateh saw the US submarine as it approached while it was underwater and used maneuvers to force it to surface as it passed through the Strait of Hormuz.

It had also entered our territorial waters, but after being warned, it changed course, according to Irani.

Irani claimed that the submarine was making every effort to pass completely undetected and in complete silence.

"We will without a doubt inform international organizations that our border had been violated."

The nuclear-powered, guided-missile submarine Florida was supporting the fifth Fleet in Bahrain earlier this month, the US Navy said.
