Intoxicated woman found in Avalanche’s Valeri Nichushkin hotel room hospitalized: reports

Police in Seattle say a heavily inebriated lady was found in the hotel room of Colorado Avalanche player Valeri Nichushkin during the team's first game.

According to a Seattle Police Department report acquired by KDVR, the 28-year-old lady was located by team members on April 22 while conducting a check on Nichushkin at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Seattle.

A team doctor phoned 911 shortly before 3:30 p.m., and the woman was hospitalised after being ruled too inebriated to depart on her own. 

According to reports, the doctor told authorities that the woman attacked him, but he declined to press charges.

The incident occurred before to Game 3 at Climate Pledge Arena. Nichushkin has been away from the club for personal reasons since then.

According to Colorado coach Jared Bednar, who added that there is no timetable for his return. 

According to a Seattle Police Department representative, there is no criminal investigation into the incident. According to the police report, a Denver police officer travelling with the team also stated that there were "no reports of any criminal interactions."
