Grimes Addresses Criticism That She's Developing AI Instead of Releasing Her Album
As part of a photoshoot for something called CYBR Magazine,
Grimes recently revealed that she "trained an AI version of me and she fell in love with our friend who trained her."
That is more representative of Grimes' recent work than anything musical.
Miss Anthropocene, her most recent album, was released in 2020. As was predicted,
she has talked a lot about new music in the years since, but little of it has come to pass.
From projects called Book 1 and Faeries Cum First, there have been teasers (and a few stray singles), but back in January, Grimes tweeted that music was more of a "side quest" now.
A few months earlier, she had tweeted that her "album is done we're mixing."
