Former Arizona Cardinals General Manager Reveals Incredible Remark Nick Bosa Made To Him Prior to the 2019 NFL Draft
The Arizona Cardinals had a few of really talented athletes to choose from with pick 1 in the 2019 NFL Draft.
They had to choose between Kyler Murray, the draft's best quarterback, and Nick Bosa, the draft's greatest edge rusher.
They ultimately chose Murray, and their GM at the time, Steve Keim, said on "The Herd" that Bosa threatened the Cardinals he'd haunt them if they made that choice.
"I'll never forget when he [Bosa] puts his arm around me and Kliff Kingsbury," Keim remarked. "He basically put both of us in a headlock."
He tells us, 'I think you guys are definitely going to take that little quarterback, and if you do, I will haunt you for the rest of your career.'
It’s hard to argue with the Cardinals’ decision to take Kyler Murray 1st overall in that draft. Josh Rosen was the team's quarterback at the time, and they were on track for more poor seasons if they didn't address the issue.
Kyler has done an excellent job of repaying that pick since being drafted.
He was selected Offensive Rookie of the Year and has already been to two Pro Bowls. In his third year in the league, he also led the Cardinals to the playoffs.
