FIRE RAGING AT HIGHLAND HIGH SCHOOL

After a fire broke out early on Friday morning and significantly damaged Highland High School, firefighters are attempting to preserve what they can.

The fire, which is currently out of control, was first discovered at 4 a.m. on Friday following a significant snowfall.

After responding to the incident, the Pocatello incident Department swiftly asked the Chubbuck Fire Department for assistance.

Additionally present are Bannock County Search & Rescue and Pocatello police.

The public is advised to remain away from the area until the fire has been put out because a large portion of Highland High School has been burned by the flames.

The fire has closed the routes in the area of Highland.

During the Friday morning fire in Pocatello that severely damaged the school, a firefighter utilises a ladder to ascend onto the roof of Highland High School.
