Eagles and Olamide Zaccheaus agree to a contract

Olamide Zaccheaus, a free agent wide receiver, will join the Philadelphia Eagles, per his agent.Zaccheaus, a 25-year-old coming off a career season,

With the Atlanta Falcons past season, the 2019 undrafted rookie free agency saw 61 targets for 40 receptions, 533 yards (13.3 average), and

three touchdowns. When throwing his way, quarterbacks earned a 109.5 passing rating.

Perhaps his size scared off teams. He's obviously not the most physically dominant player at 5'8" and 193 pounds. He's not a really good athlete either, generally speaking:

Nevertheless, this seems to be a nice, low-risk addition for the Eagles. Zaccheaus has prior experience playing in the slot; in 2022,

he played there for 60.9% of his snaps. There may be a chance for someone to take on that position. With A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith primarily playing outside,

the Eagles are now set, but they still need more options to complement their stars. After spending a year in Philadelphia playing the role of "The Enforcer,

" Zach Pascal left to join the Arizona Cardinals. Quez Watkins demonstrated his lack of trustworthiness, and it is unclear what the Eagles intend to do with the unguaranteed $2.7 million he is owed in 2023.
